SPURSPLAY FAQs

 

What is SPURSPLAY?

SPURSPLAY is our new home for exclusive live and on-demand video. For an annual subscription of £45 - reduced to £35 for Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members - fans will also be able to gain access to all our premium content, including:

  • LIVE Men's pre-season friendlies, Select home U18s and U21 matches, select U21s away games and additional Women's matches
  • An enhanced matchday offering including live audio commentary and full match replays from EVERY fixture
  • Exclusive, feature-length documentaries and brand-new original series
  • Hundreds of hours of archive footage celebrating the most exciting moments and legendary players in the Club's history.

 

How much is SPURSPLAY?

A SPURSPLAY subscription is valid for 12 months and is priced at £45 for the year, reduced to £35 for Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members. This subscription will automatically renew at your next billing date unless you opt out.

Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members will be sent a £10 off SPURSPLAY Pass via email on launch day (5 July) to redeem against their exclusive subscription price at checkout.

Please note that subscriptions run on a 12 month basis and are not seasonal.

 

Is SPURSPLAY available globally?

Yes! SPURSPLAY is available for supporters worldwide. On some occasions, certain streams may be unavailable in specific regions due to broadcasting rights – however, alternative broadcast information will be communicated via official Club channels.

 

 

Can I watch Men's First Team games live on SPURSPLAY?

Whilst it is not possible to watch Men's First Team games live on SPURSPLAY, highlights and full match replays will be available for fans to view within 24 hours of the game being played.

 

 

When will full match replays be available to view?

We currently expect full match replays to be available to view no later than 24 hours after the game has been played.

 

When will Season Ticket Holders and Members receive their promo code?

All renewed Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members were sent their exclusive £10 promo code on 5-6 July 2022. If you are a renewed Season Ticket Holder or Member and did not receive your code, please contact us here and we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.

All new One Hotspur Members will be sent their exclusive £10 promo code within five working days of their membership being purchased. In the unlikely event that you do not receive your code within this timeframe, please contact us here.

Please note that codes must be redeemed via a desktop device (play.tottenhamhotspur.com) and cannot be redeemed via the Spurs Official App. Further information about how to redeem your code can be found here.

 

How can I subscribe to SPURSPLAY Premium content?

To subscribe SPURSPLAY Premium content, please follow the steps below. If you have a promo code, please click here. Please note that if you do not already have a Spurs account, you will need to create one.

 

  • Visit play.tottenhamhotspur.com/signup
  • Click 'Sign in to watch' and follow the steps to log into your existing Spurs account. If you do not already have one, follow the prompt to register now.
  • Select 'Card Payment'. You will be asked for your postcode first - please enter it then click 'Proceed to Payment'.
  • Enter your card details and click 'Complete Payment' - you will now be directed to Secure Checkout.


Once your payment is successful, you're good to go! Sit back and enjoy hours of content either via play.tottenhamhotspur.com, tottenhamhotspur.com or the new Spurs Official App, where you see the SPURSPLAY icon.

 

How can I redeem my promo code?

If you've been assigned a promo code, please follow the steps below to redeem it. Please note that if you do not already have a Spurs account, you will need to create one.

Please also note that promo codes must be redeemed through a web browser, not the Spurs Official App.

 

Using a browser (desktop & mobile):

  • Visit play.tottenhamhotspur.com/signup
  • Click 'Sign in to watch' and follow the steps to log into your existing Spurs account. If you do not already have one, follow the prompt to register now.
  • Select 'Card Payment'. You will be asked for your postcode first - please enter it then click 'Proceed to Payment'.
  • Enter your card details and promo code, making sure to click 'Apply' to ensure the promotion is applied
  • Click 'Complete Payment' - you will now be directed to Secure Checkout.


Once your payment is successful, you're good to go! Sit back and enjoy hours of content either via play.tottenhamhotspur.com, tottenhamhotspur.com or the new Spurs Official App, where you see the SPURSPLAY icon.

 

How can I cancel my SPURSPLAY Premium auto-renewal?

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the 'Subscriptions' page of your SPURSPLAY account. Your subscription will remain active for the remainder of your subscription period - however, it will no longer automatically renew at the next billing date.

You can request to cancel your auto-renewal subscription by navigating to 'Your Account' (via the human icon) when signed in via play.tottenhamhotspur.com.

On the 'Subscriptions' page, click the 'Cancel' button that can be found on your active subscription. You will be asked if you are sure - click 'Yes, Cancel'. This will be confirmed in your cancellation email.

If you wish to reactivate your subscription, you can select 'Reactivate Plan' - this will ensure that your renewal payment is taken on the next billing date.

Device Information and Troubleshooting Guide

 

What devices is SPURSPLAY available on?

SPURSPLAY is available on the following devices:

Desktop: PC and Mac. The website is available on all modern desktop browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

Mobile Devices: Available on iOS and Android smart phones and tablets

 

How many devices can I access SPURSPLAY on at the same time?

A SPURSPLAY membership allows you to watch video content on two devices at a time. You can have multiple login sessions open simultaneously but will not be able to watch multiple videos at the same time. If you receive the following message "You may watch Premium content on a maximum of two devices at once", you will need to close your previous session and refresh your device/browser to begin watching content on a separate device.

 

Can I cast SPURSPLAY to my TV from my device?

You are currently able to use Chromecast on Android devices for all SPURSPLAY streams, live and on demand.

To cast from an Android device, please follow the steps below:

  • Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your television
  • Open the Official Spurs App and select the content that you want to cast.
  • Find and select the Cast icon (usually in the top right-hand corner of the screen).
  • On your device, select the name of your TV.
  • When the icon changes colour, you're successfully connected.

You can also use Chromecast and Airplay on all iOS devices - please ensure you are using the latest version of the app from the app store.

Should you be unable to switch from a live stream to another video on demand, then please restart The Spurs Official app and click on the video you wish to cast.

Please also note that the SPURSPLAY website (play.tottenhamhotpur.com) is fully supported through Airplay across all iOS devices.

 

I am unable to create an account - what should I do?

Please check that the email address you are attempting to register is not already in use. To do this, please select ‘Forgot Password?’ and attempt to reset the password for this account.

My feed keeps buffering / I am receiving a ‘media not found’ error message

Constant buffering or loading circles, or frequent changes in the quality of your streams, is likely to be caused by weak or interrupted internet connectivity within your Wi-Fi network. If you are encountering these issues, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart your browser, device and home Wi-Fi Network
    • Close the browser that had SPURSPLAY open / the Official Spurs app
    • Shut down your device
    • Unplug your Wi-Fi router/modem from power for 1-2 minutes
    • Plug your Wi-Fi router/modem back into power
    • Restart device, open SPURSPLAY in browser

 

  • Improve your Wi-Fi Signal
    • Move to a more central location / closer to your device
    • Move Wi-Fi router away from other wireless devices (microwaves) to avoid interference
    • Move router off the floor

 

  • Connect your computer directly to the modem
    • Close the browser that had SPURSPLAY open
    • Shut down your computer
    • Unplug your modem from power for 1-2 minutes
    • Plug your modem back into power
    • Turn computer on, plug computer into modem via ethernet cable
    • Open SPURSPLAY in a browser

 

If none of the above works, and you continue to have the same issues, please consider contacting your Internet Service Provider.

 

Desktop browser issues?

When trying to access a live SPURSPLAY event, if you are seeing a continuous loading circle or connection error within the video player, this may be resolved by signing out of SPURSPLAY, clearing your web browser's cache, and relaunching the browser.

 

iPhone/iPad issues?

For any issues on the iOS app, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app from your mobile device:

  • Check the app for any updates
  • Remove the app from your device
  • Restart your device
  • Reinstall the app on your device
  • If fails again try switching Wi-Fi connect

If you continue to have trouble, install any available updates for your iOS. If these suggestions do not resolve the issues you are encountering, please try accessing the app through a different network or Wi-Fi connection to see if the same issues occur. Android issues?

For any issues on the Android app please try to reinstall the app from your mobile device:

  • Check the app for any updates
  • Remove the app from your device
  • Restart your device
  • Reinstall the app on your device

If you continue to have trouble, install any available software updates. If these suggestions do not resolve the issues you are encountering, please try accessing the app through a different network or Wi-Fi connection to see if the same issues occur.

 

What are the system and network requirements to access SPURSPLAY?

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • A broadband internet connection (DSL/cable or higher) of 750kbps or higher is needed for SPURSPLAY. If you have an internet connection speed of 5.0Mbps or higher and your computer meets the requirements below, you will be able to enjoy SPURSPLAY content at its highest video quality.

 

MINIMUM WINDOWS REQUIREMENTS

  • Pentium III 1GHz or higher or equivalent AMD processor with a minimum of 512MB of memory.
  • One of the following operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Media Centre Edition, or Firefox v1.5 or above:
  • Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
  • Video adapter and monitor: Super VGA (1024x768) or higher

 

MINIMUM MAC REQUIREMENTS

  • PowerPC G3 600 MHz
  • Pentium III 1GHz with a minimum of 512MB of memory
  • Mac OS X 10.4+
  • Firefox v1.5+: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
  • Video adapter and monitor: Super VGA (1024x768) or higher

How do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password or need to unlock your account, go to the Account Icon on the SPURSPLAY login screen and click “Forgot Password?"

Enter the e-mail address associated with your SPURSPLAY account and you will receive an e-mail with a link to reset your password.
