What is The Dare Skywalk?

The Dare Skywalk is our adrenaline-filled attraction which sees you scale the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, reaching the famous golden cockerel at the summit. Up on the glass viewing platform, you'll be met with spectacular views of London and have an aerial view of the pitch.

 

How high is The Dare Skywalk?

The summit, our glass viewing platform encompassing the golden cockerel, is the highest point you will reach and is 46.8 metres above pitch level.

 

How should I prepare for my visit?

Prior to your arrival, please ensure that you have read and familiarised yourself with our pre-visit checklist.

 

Where does my climb start from?

The Dare Skywalk experiences start at Basecamp, where you will check in, get kitted up and be briefed with the relevant safety information. Climbs are available throughout the day and Basecamp opens 30 minutes before the first climb.

 

How long does the experience last?

The Dare Skywalk experience lasts 90 minutes. This includes the pre-climb safety briefing and your de-kitting after returning from your climb. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled climb time. This will allow time to check-in, use the complimentary lockers and get kitted up, before embarking on the experience.

Please be aware that we are unable to refund or reschedule climbs due to lateness.

 

Can I do the Stadium Tour and Dare Skywalk on the same day?

Yes, we would love you to experience both attractions. Please click here to see our bundle offers. Please note that there may be days when only one of our attractions is open. This is reflected when purchasing bundle tickets, which might affect the availability of your chosen date.

 

I have a fear of heights, can I still take part?

In most cases, yes. Our Climb Guides will help you accomplish the Dare Skywalk. If you have any questions or concerns in advance of your visit, please let us know and a member of the Skywalk team will get back to you.

Once you've begun the Dare Skywalk, you must complete it. At the highest point, you will be walking on a glass walkway 46.8 metres above the pitch. On the walk to the roof you will be walking on an incline of 14 degrees.

Please use your discretion when booking this experience as you will not be able to return early once the climb has begun.

 

What are the climbing conditions on the Dare Skywalk?

The conditions vary based on the day's weather and the experience you choose. You can expect to:

  • Climb staircases
  • Walk on an incline on an exposed walkway
  • Walk over an exposed glass walkway - 46.8 metres above the pitch
  • Participate in prolonged standing and climbing
  • Be exposed to all weather conditions

 

What is an evening climb? 

Our evening climbs offer you the chance to take in the scenic views of London from the time at which the sun starts setting. You may even get to see the sun set on the horizon on your climb from the summit. These climbs change seasonally and in relation to the time of year, so be sure to check out our ticket page for available evening climbs.

 

What if my preferred climb date is unavailable?

Climbs can be booked in advance but there may be dates when the Dare Skywalk is closed due to special events or essential maintenance, in which case you will not be able to select that date for your booking.

Please note that all dates are subject to change dependent on fixtures/operational requirements.

Do the Climb Guides give a commentary?

Our Climb Guide team will share key information as part of your visit, including designs and features of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and pointing out impressive landmarks making up the London skyline.

We also have Stadium Tours available to book daily, should you wish to explore the Stadium on the same day as your Skywalk Experience. Each Stadium Tour ticket is accompanied by a multimedia device which enables you to explore the Stadium at your own pace.

 

How many people are in each group?

There will be up to 15 people in your group, plus your Climb Guide.

For a truly memorable experience, you can book out a time slot for a private climb. For more information, please register your details and a member of the team will get back to you.

 

Can I do the Dare Skywalk if I am pregnant?

Unfortunately, those who are pregnant are unable to take part in any Dare Skywalk activity. It is a physically demanding activity and requires you to wear a harness which fits tightly across the body.

Can children climb?

The minimum age to take part in a climb is 8 years old and all participants must be at least 1.2 metres in height. Under 18s must be with an adult and the adult-to-child ratios for The Dare Skywalk are:

  • 1 adult to accompany 2 minors between the ages of 8-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 4 minors between the ages of 12-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 6 minors between the ages of 15-17

Can seniors climb?

All visitors should have a general level of fitness and be physically and medically fit to take part. There is no upper age limit and we welcome anyone who is physically and medically fit to take part. If you have any concerns, please check with your doctor before booking.

 

Can I propose to my partner on the roof of the Stadium?

Yes, we would love to help you make your Dare Skywalk experience as memorable as possible. Please inform us ahead of time so that we can ensure everything runs smoothly for you, and a member of the Skywalk team will get back to you. You will need to give the ring to your Climb Guide, who will keep it safe for you until the opportune moment.

Your opportunity for proposal will be once you have reached the viewing platform and your Climb Guide will also be on hand to take pictures.

 

What items are prohibited?

You won’t be permitted to take any belongings with you on the climb other than the following:

  • Your mobile phone (these are permitted on the climb but will remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof. Alternatively, you can store these away in the lockers provided at Basecamp)
  • Your spectacles, sunglasses and hearing aid which must be secure and not loose fitting
  • Essential medication which is permitted at our discretion. While the medication shall be carried securely by a Dare Skywalk Climb Guide, neither Tottenham Hotspur nor any operator will be responsible for the medication or the administering of it.

The following items are strictly prohibited on your climb:

  • Any items which are dangerous, may be used as a weapon or may cause damage to the Dare Skywalk structure or stadium
  • Food and beverages (unless required by diabetic Climbers and arranged with a Climb Guide in advance)
  • Sound, video recording equipment, cameras, handbags, umbrellas, headphones, MP3 players, iPods and any other personal items.

 

 

The Dare Skywalk Requirements

 

Are there any age restrictions?

The minimum age to take part in a climb is 8 years old and all participants must be at least 1.2 metres in height. Under 18s must be with an adult and the adult-to-child ratios for The Dare Skywalk are:

  • 1 adult to accompany 2 minors between the ages of 8-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 4 minors between the ages of 13-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 6 minors between the ages of 15-17

Visitors may be asked for proof of age if we consider them to be under the age of 18. Please bring a valid form of ID (valid driver's licence and/or passport - photocopies can be accepted) with you on your visit. Any visitors who are unable to show a valid form of ID may be refused entry and a refund will not be given.

 

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

The minimum/maximum requirements for anyone attending Dare Skywalk are:

  • A minimum height of 1.2m
  • A weight of less than 130kg/21 stone/286lbs, which is the maximum weight our harnesses can bear
  • Visitors must be able to wear a harness which has a maximum width waist of 125cm and a maximum upper thigh width of 75cm, which are the maximum measurements our harnesses can bear.

Visitors who do not meet these requirements will not be able to take part in the climb. Climbers agree to being weighed if we believe that they do not meet the weight requirement.

 

How should I prepare for my visit?

How do I know I can complete the Dare Skywalk?

Will I need any training before I complete the Dare Skywalk?

All visitors should have a general level of fitness and be physically and medically fit to take part. You do not need to do any specific training before completing the Dare Skywalk - however, you will be given a safety briefing and guidance from your trained Climb Guide on the day.

 

What is a Waiver Form?

Due to the thrill-seeking nature of the Dare Skywalk experience, all guests taking part will be required to complete a waiver form, which explains any potential risks involved.

You are responsible for ensuring that you and all of your supervised children named in your Declaration and Waiver Form are in a fit state of health to participate in the Dare Skywalk Climb and are able to undertake the Dare Skywalk Climb in a manner which will not put at risk your own health and safety, or the health and safety of the other climbers.

Be assured that the safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us. You'll be kitted out with mandatory safety equipment and will be accompanied by a trained Climb Guide for the entirety of your experience. 

All information provided on the Waiver Form will be kept in accordance with GDPR regulations.

 

Can I drink alcohol before or on the experience?

Dare Skywalk climbers cannot be under the influence of alcohol or substances (legal or illegal) which would make it unsafe for them to take part in the climb, or to fully understand the safety rules, policies, instructions and briefings given to them on the day of the climb by the Climb Guides. You may be asked to take a breathalyser test if we think you have consumed alcohol. Anyone who refuses a test, or with a blood alcohol reading of 0.05% or more having completed the test, will not be able to take part in the climb and a refund will not be offered.

You will be required to make a declaration in the Declaration and Waiver Form that you are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us; therefore we reserve the right to stop someone taking part, rebook or modify a climb in order to keep guests safe.

Prosecco and beer can be purchased whilst on the roof to toast your achievement. The percentage and volume of these drinks are in line with our safety policies and are limited to one drink per adult. Visitors may be asked for proof of age if we consider them to be under the age of 18. Please bring a valid form of ID (valid driving licence and/or passport - photocopies can be accepted) with you on your visit.

 

 

Booking FAQs

 

How do I book tickets?

All bookings can be made online

There are several packages available, including professional photograph options, to take a souvenir away from your memorable experience. Book in advance online for best value tickets. Tickets prices for all packages can be found here.

Tickets can also be purchased from the Dare Skywalk Basecamp.

 

Do I need to book in advance?

We strongly advise that you book ahead for the Dare Skywalk where possible, particularly if you are booking for a large booking party. There may be tickets available on the day for you to purchase at Basecamp, but these will be limited per timeslot so cannot be guaranteed.

 

Can I make a group booking?

Yes, a group of up to 15 people can take part in the Dare Skywalk experience for each timeslot. If your group is smaller than 15, you may be joined by other members of the public on your experience. If you wish to make a group booking, or book a private climb, please register your details and a member of the team will get back to you.

What should I do if I've lost my tickets?

We’re here to help! Please get in touch and a member of the Skywalk team will get back to you.

 

Can I reschedule my booking?

Subject to availability, bookings can be exchanged for one on a different day provided that the exchange is carried out at least 48 hours prior to the time and date of the original booking. Please note that a rescheduling fee will apply.

What happens if my experience is cancelled?

If the Dare Skywalk is closed and experiences are cancelled by us because of extreme weather, we'll book you in for the next available climb. In these extreme circumstances, someone from our team will be in touch.

 

Will I get a refund if I don't want to take part due to bad weather?

If the Dare Skywalk is still open on the day, then unfortunately we cannot offer refunds. If the Dare Skywalk is closed and experiences are cancelled by us because of extreme weather, we'll book you in for the next available climb. In these extreme circumstances, someone from our team will be in touch.

Where should I go upon arrival?

The Dare Skywalk experiences start at Basecamp, where you will check-in, get kitted up and be briefed with the relevant safety information. Basecamp opens 30 minutes before the first climb.

 

What public transport options are available?

The stadium is well-served by public transport, which is the best way to get there. The nearest stations are:

White Hart Lane
London Overground, from Liverpool Street – 5 minute walk to the stadium.

Seven Sisters
Victoria Line and London Overground – 149 / 259 / 349 buses run from the station (Bus Stop D) to the stadium (Tottenham Sports Centre or Tottenham Hotspur Football Club).

Northumberland Park
Abellio Greater Anglia Services – 15 minute walk to the stadium.

 

Where can I park?

Stadium parking is not available for Stadium Tour or Dare Skywalk experiences.

Free parking (including Blue Badge parking bays) is available in Sainsbury's Tottenham on non-matchdays and is a 5 minute walk from the Tottenham Experience. On non-matchdays parking is free up to a maximum of 3 hours, but guests are advised to check the latest parking restrictions upon arrival.

 

Can I take a camera or phone?

Cameras, including GoPros, cannot be taken on the Dare Skywalk. This is to safeguard against anything falling during the experience. You can bring a mobile phone with you but it must remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof. Alternatively, you can store these away in the lockers provided at Basecamp. Our photographically-trained Climb Guides will capture photos of you during your climb. Photo packages can be pre-purchased or bought on the day of your visit.

We provide secure lockers for you to keep your camera or any loose items in during your climb. Our lockers are small, so please only bring what you need.

 

Can I take medication with me on the climb?

Please notify us in advance if you or any person in your booking needs to take essential medication on the climb (eg. asthma inhaler, diabetic medication or nourishment).

Essential medication, such as inhalers or diabetic medication, can be taken on the climb, but will need to be given to the Climb Guide who will carry this for you. Please speak to our staff on the day.

Can I eat and drink while taking part in the experience?

All food and beverage items (unless required by diabetic climbers and arranged with a Climb Guide in advance) are to be stored away securely before your climb.
